Caroline grew up in the northern part of Sweden where the sun never sets during summertime and the northern lights play on the skies at night during the chilly winters. She was early on smitten by the art of photography and the concept of capturing moments in time and holding on to them forever. Combining her passion for photography with her unique surroundings, she learned to take advantage of that hazy natural light and beautiful foliage and incorporate it into her photographs, something that is consistently apparent in her wedding portraits. Her style is unobtrusive and candid as she captures the raw moments and emotions of people as they happen naturally. She moved from Sweden to Boston in 2011 and got her Bachelor of Science in Photography at The New England Institute of Art in Boston. Today she spends all her waking hours producing customized portrait art for clients throughout New England and the US.

Merri has worked as a commercial and fine art photographer for over 20 years in NYC, and recently relocated to the lovely town of Westport, Massachusetts. Primarily focused on portraiture of musicians and artists, her clients include Apple, Columbia Records, Sony, Warner Brothers, Verve, Polygram, Rolling Stone, People, Spin and New York Times among many others. She continues her work photographing artists and feels that her focus in documenting weddings is an extension of her editorial work - looking to authentically document the moments as they happen and be as unobtrusive as possible. She also likes to take time with the bride and groom to create beautiful environmental portraits. While most of the images throughout the day are photo documentary in style, during the portrait session she is happy to help with some guidance. Ultimately Merri feels that by creating a comfortable rapport with her subjects, they can create beautiful photographs together.
