A wedding day is an exciting whirlwind of unpredictable circumstances, personalities and emotions. James enjoys each and every moment of it. Over the past 9 years, James has had the pleasure to meet so many fascinating people from all walks of life and have experienced amazing things that he never would have with out photography. Being a wedding photographer is a backstage pass to life. James truly feels incredibly lucky to make a living creating art and telling people's stories. His approach is comfortable and relaxed. He loves to mingle and chat people up; find out who's who. This gets everyone comfortable with the guy waving the camera around so he can easily blend in and be forgotten. Of course, James coordinates and directs when needed, but he always prefers to let things unfold naturally and to be as unobtrusive as possible. Photographically, James looks for honest and interesting situations, keeping compositions simple and seeking out amazing light situations. Portrait sessions should be short enough to stay fun, and showcase the genuine personality of everyone involved. His favorite part of a wedding is photographing receptions...the crazier the party the better the pictures!
